JAM Poetry

Friends for a lifetime
Friends for a year
Friends for a month
You'll hold them all dear.

Close to my heart
All of you will be.
You'll never know the impact,
That each has had on me.

From bone crushing hugs
That bring tears to my eyes
To crazy birthday songs
And amazing bus rides

Politics and prayer
Both are close to our hearts
But it's our friendships
That set us apart.

The friends that we've made
The love that we share.
Have made imprints on hearts
That'll always be there.

So whether Rabbi or student
Or someplace in between
I hope you'll all realize,
What I really mean.

All of these words that I've said
You need not remember
Just promise to live
To learn
To teach
To love;
Just promise to do it together.
